Setting Up Proxmox and Ubuntu Server
Before installing Ubuntu Server on a virtual machine, you'll need to set up your Proxmox environment.
- Download and install Proxmox on your server hardware.
- After installation, log into the Proxmox web interface to manage your server.
- Configure your Proxmox environment, including network settings and storage.
Before creating a virtual machine, you'll need to create a storage pool to store it.
- In the Proxmox web interface, go to 'Datacenter' and then click on 'Storage'.
- Follow the steps to create a new storage pool, specifying its type, name, and other settings.
Once the storage pool is set up, you can proceed to install Ubuntu Server.
- Upload the Ubuntu Server ISO to the storage pool you created.
- Create a new virtual machine and select the Ubuntu Server ISO as the installation media.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to install Ubuntu Server.
